Silverlight 4?!?

Today I am launching a new series of blog posts here on Oreilly.com, in anticipation of my forthcoming book for 2010, Programming Silverlight 4 (not yet formally announced)

I'll be posting dedicated entries, as well as summaries of blog posts from my Silverlight blog (http://SilverlightGeek.me). In addition, I will also be posting on topics related to my books, including such topics as C#, Linq, .Net 4, and related technologies.

I very much look forward to your comments and feedback.

Lookin forward to your posts! When is Silverlight 4 due to be released?

Thank you for your kind words. Don't we have announced an official release date for programming Silverlight 4, but I'm very eager for the book to be available once we release Silverlight 4 officially. At the same time, it's very important that the book be totally consistent with the release version, and that we apply very rigorous technical editing; so as with software, scheduled will yield to quality, and extra features will yield to the schedule.

I'm in a very fortunate position that I can provide preview information as soon as its public on my Microsoft website, and similarly, I can provide supplemental information after the book is published.

If there are particular features, either of the language or of the book, that you would like to see, please do let me know.

Thanks again,

Jesse

I love your books Jesse. I learn Silverlight 3 from your training videos and blogs. I look forward to your Silverlight 4 book!

MS has quite a bit planned for release in March 2010, will Silverlight 4 be part of that or will it be later on in 2010/2011?
