Google stinks! Literally.

In the last week or so, the office I use at Allette Systems has stunk of sewerage. The culprit seems to be Google's new office building down the road.

On this Google map of Pyrmont, Sydney, my office is at A and Google is in the purple color. I also live somewhere on the same map, so this is a domestic concern as well.

I have lived and/or worked in this suburb for the last 8 years, and in this or the adjoining suburbs for most of the last 15 years, and I have never noticed this before. The only thing that has changed in the area in recent times is the new Google building, which is supposed to be the most state-of-the-art. More like state-of-the-fart. Google Craps.

My dear late ecologist brother was an expert in urban private septic systems ("when I talk sh*t, people listen" was his motto) so I am pleased they are attempting something. But Google Australia, please re-route the output fumes through your office air-conditioning before inflicting it on us! Let your nostril hairs filter out noxious particles before they get to the rest of the suburb. I don't know what the growers market is going to do, trying to sell their organic emu wattle-pepper sausages with that smell competing.

It's funny you are illustrating this with a google map :)

Yes: Google Maps operates out of that office. Well, it made me chuckle anyway! I may have to set up a picket line "Lars stop the Poogle"

Google has the attitude that only they know what you're looking for. They treat the user like microsoft does. I now use secure ixquick.
