Will SPARQL ultimately define RDF?

I was glad to see that my current to-ing and fro-ing with the W3C TAG is being followed with at least sceptical interest by others: Dan Brickley has a blog item on it.

He applies an observation of mine about XSD to RDF and SPARQL. I mentioned this week about a colleague's implementation of Schematron in JavaScript using CSS selectors. ISO Schematron (the language) is specifically designed to allow this, and one of the first to use it was Schemarama (with Libby Miller) written using an RDF query language. Dan has some interesting links on integrity constraints for RDF.
