Coming this Month: Wolfram|Alpha Search

Sometime this month, a new, more-interesting-than-your-average-search-engine will launch: Wolfram|Alpha.

Wolfram Research, who has brought us Mathematica and A New Kind of Science, has set out to "create a true computational knowledge engine" that I am dying to play with.

According to their blog, Wolfram has attempted to "explicitly implement methods and models, as algorithms, and explicitly curate all data so that it is immediately computable."

Read the blog here. Follow them on Twitter here.

Looks ambitious. I'm not sure what to expect. But I am watching.
