By Sometime this month, a new, more-interesting-than-your-average-search-engine will launch: Wolfram|Alpha.
Wolfram Research, who has brought us Mathematica and A New Kind of Science, has set out to "create a true computational knowledge engine" that I am dying to play with.
According to their blog, Wolfram has attempted to "explicitly implement methods and models, as algorithms, and explicitly curate all data so that it is immediately computable."
