I'm taking a break from writing to attend a local Salt Lake City Tweetup sponsored by Wells Fargo "Someday Stories". I've just heard a fairly inspirational from Danny Gibbons (pictured to the right), one of five finalists in the Wells Fargo "Someday Stories, something you can view for yourself by visiting the previous link.
From this same page:
We asked all of you to tell us your Someday Story dreams and how Wells Fargo could help you achieve them. We received a tremendous response, over 10,000 entries.
Drum roll please! Here are our 5 finalists, who each won $10,000 to get their dream started.
Danny from Provo, Utah wants to become a physical therapist
Erin from Prescott Valley, Arizona wants to open a used bookstore
Evelyn from Sharon, Massachusetts wants to help her daughter expand her magazine
Mary from Rye, Colorado wants to help her mom open a hospice home
Tiffany from Reno, Nevada wants to become a doctor
From the above five finalists, whomever receives the greatest number of community votes will receive 100k from Wells Fargo to help in fulfilling their dreams. For Danny that means being able to pay for a good portion of graduate school (amongst other things. It seems Danny and his wife recently welcomed their first daughter, a 5lb 10ounce baby girl named Shea, this last Thursday :-)).
If you have a few moments, please visit the "Someday Stories" page, take a look at the stories of each of the five finalists, and then decide for yourself who you feel should be awarded the grand prize from Wells Fargo.
Thanks in advance for your time, everybody!
