Jeremy Allison From Samba Talks About Mentors

In a previous post, I mentioned how mentors have played in an important role in my life in both learning to code, and learning about life. One of my mentors, and one of the most underrated, and under hyped Python gurus around, Shannon -jj Behrens ,sent me this blog post by Jeremy Allison, from the Samba team, about how he learned to program.

This is a great read for anyone that is thinking about learning to program, and I can say I related to a lot of what he says, and agree completely. Find a mentor, or several mentors and ask them as many questions as you can. Of course a few good books can go a long way as well, as he mentions.
